I promised that I would post these as befor it left. I just barly got them taken before he came and got it. I still dont have my camra back, these were taken with a barrowed 2mp from work and no planed lighting. As you know it is the replacement for the Ovation desaster. I have to say, flat picked, this is the best sounding I have ever built. It kinda has that Tayor sound just a bit brassier. Great for Southern 70's-80's country rock. I should have recorded it last night, but a buddy of mine set and picked a couple hours. We did a rendision of Sweet home Alabama and Good old country boy that just flat rocked I really do hate to see this one go It was originaly to be mine before the Ovation caught fire

Bye-Bye sweet thing.MichaelP38621.6822916667

I was final sanding and found a small worm hole that ran for about 1 1/4" long simi-diaginal to the grain in the rosewood back strip I got from Stemac. I did not see any trace of it when I inlaid it. I told Tanner I wanted to rout it out and replace the back binding and center strip because a patch or filler just would not cut the mustard, but he came up with this idea. The two pearl dots cover mounting screws so If i ever need to remove the neck The cap comes off as a seperate piece. It is glued down but with a thin coat of Hide so seperation will be no big issue. I really wanted to replace the back strip but Tanner did dot want the delay.MichaelP38621.6944444444

No, no, no.....you planned it like that. It adds extra support to the neck. That's your story and your sticking to it.    Really nice looking guitar there Michael.

If I could cut my signature out of pearl small enough to fit on it I would give the heel cap another shot, but planed this time.

I tell ya guys the photos don't do the back and side set justice, or the top for that matter. I got this set from Don Williams almost a year ago was saving it for my self. It was mid grade set per his rating, but I saw somthing in it that said get me. so I did. Once I put the first coat of zpoxy on it I knew I would have to wear shades while working this puppy

I know I have said this before, but "Thanks Don I could not be more pleased" MichaelP38622.4994907407
